- After the arrest in August 2020, it became clear that I wouldn't stay free for long. I decided to leave while I still had the opportunity. What was meant to be a temporary trip ended up lasting longer. I left on a plane from Minsk, which now seems like pure fantasy.
- I'm battling anxiety and sadness. The last few weeks have been emotionally challenging. I feel both new hope with the move to Poland and fear of the unknown: what awaits me?
- I miss the feeling of a city full of friends and familiar places. I miss late-night drives along the avenue. I miss the neon lights in the windows of my studio on Yakuba Kolosa. I miss my parents and my dog.
- Would I return if it were safe? Increasingly, the answer in my mind is "No."
- In 1998, after the financial crisis in Russia, my family had to leave the country due to threats to our safety.

- После ареста в августе 20-го стало ясно, что долго на свободе я не пробуду. Я решил уехать на время, пока есть возможность. Временная поездка затянулась. Улетал на самолете из Минска, что сейчас кажется просто фантастикой.
- Борюсь с тревогой и печалью. Последние несколько недель были очень непростыми эмоционально. Я чувствую и новую надежду в связи с переездом в Польшу, и страх перед неопределенностью: что меня ждет?
- Скучаю по ощущению города полного друзей и знакомых мест. Скучаю по ночным поездкам по проспекту. Скучаю по неоновым огням в окнах моей студии на Якуба Колоса. Скучаю по родителям и собаке.
- Вернулся бы я, если бы было безопасно? Все чаще на этот вопрос в моей голове звучит ответ “Нет”.
- В 1998 после дефолта моей семье пришлось уехать из России. Возникла угроза нашей безопасности.
